The Gleaning Place specializes in gently used home products. They have everything from furniture, kitchen products, linens, knick knacks and so much more. All priced reasonably to provide anyone who needs these common household goods. The Gleaning Place can offer the warmth to transform an apartment or house into a home.

The purpose of GIVE Medical Ministry is to provide assistance at no charge to people with medical needs, particularly those having limited financial resources, so as to improve their physical health and independence, as well as their emotional and spiritual well-being.
J.J.'s Furniture

Provides home furnishings and household items to families leaving the shelter for a home of their own, victims of domestic violence as well as fire and flood victims. A referral from a partner agency is needed. Donations of gently used furniture can be picked up by calling for an appointment.

CAR Program
A Learn Earn Serve Program
Provides vehicles to households without any transportation. Participants work a 6-week program with classes on Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm, while serving their neighbors through New Path earning hours for a vehicle of their choice. We offer this program once a year for Miami County residents and once a year for our the residents of our service areas in Montgomery County (Harrison Township and Trotwood).

Pathways to Success: Healthcare Edition

Through this new and innovative program, New Path is partnering with the Miami Valley Career Technical Center to provide students with a two-week program that .fast-tracks students into certificate programs that can be a great entrance into employment!

William Lutz
Executive Director
Bill holds both a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Affairs and a Master of Public Administration Degree from Wright State University in Dayton. Bill also has his Certificate in Non-Profit Executive Leadership from the Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. Before assuming leadership of New Path, Bill served in the City of Piqua’s Community and Economic Development Department, where he led citizen engagement activities and secured state and federal dollars for numerous projects. Bill also serves as the President of Troy City Council.
Bill lives in Troy with his wife Ashley and two children, Jackson and Charlotte.
Linda Kremer
Accountant
Linda has been a part of the New Path team as our accountant since 2007. Linda has her B.S. in Accounting from Miami University and is a C.P.A. She brings many talents to New Path as she keeps track of donations, pays the bills, orders supplies, as well as administers payroll. Linda enjoys scrap booking, crocheting, reading and exercise. Linda enjoys using her strengths to further the mission of New Path. She and her husband (also an accountant) have a full schedule with their three teens and a college student. Linda also serves as a volunteer servant at Anna's Closet.
Sherry Loschi
Director of Compassion Ministries
Sherry began as a volunteer servant in the food pantry in 1998. Since 2000 Sherry Loschi has served as the outreach coordinator for New Path. Sherry’s deep passion for those in need of a hand up comes from her own past experiences of poverty. Sherry lives in Englewood with her husband Paul, they enjoy their blended family of 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren.
Tom Downs
GIVE Medical Ministry Manager
Tom has the gift of compassion as he uses his retired years to serve others by being the GIVE Manager, a part-time paid position. Tom’s background is in Engineering, and he uses his skills by repairing wheelchairs and organizing hundreds of pieces of medical equipment, from soft goods to wheel chairs and hospital beds. Tom finds helping others to help themselves to be more independent is very rewarding.
Jim Dunkel
J.J.'s Furniture Manager
Jim has a passion to provide for those in desperate need, and as the part-time manager for JJ’s Furniture he is able to do just that. Jim served as a volunteer servant for four years at JJ’s Furniture and brings some special talents as a carpenter. He has served on four mission trips to New Orleans in restorative missions. Jim has also managed his own remodeling business for the last 25 years and is now remodeling lives.
Evelyn Alder
Gleaning Place Manager
Evelyn has been a volunteer servant with New Path since 2002 and has been with The Gleaning Place since 2011. Evelyn is quite an encourager and touches the lives of other unpaid servants with a genuine love. Evelyn was recently recognized by the Dayton Dragons as a Community All-Star.
Traci Cannatelli
Tipp City Food Pantry Manager and Donor Relations Coordinator
Traci Canatelli began at New Path in January 2018 and serves as our Mission Specialist. Traci has been a long time volunteer, working in critical roles in fundraising. Traci is a single mom; she and her daughter live in Troy have been residents of the area since 2008.

Dr. Jacob Mathias, Board Chairperson
Dr. Matthias joined the New Path Board of Directors in February 2016. He is a veterinarian with a practice in Tipp City, Ohio. Jacob joined our board in February 2016.
Bruce Boyd, Board Vice-Chairperson
Bruce is the retired President/CEO of Amos Media Company, a publisher of enthusiast magazines with a major focus on coin and stamp collecting news and information. Bruce joined our Board in January 2017.
Mr. Boyd is active in the Sidney community having served on many nonprofit community organizations. He is the 2004 recipient of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Zenith Award for outstanding commitment to a lifetime of community service.
Bruce is actively involved at all levels of the United Methodist Church and currently serves as vice-chair of the West Ohio Council on Development and chair of the Miami Valley District Leadership Team.
Beth Handwerker, Board Treasurer
Beth is passionate about financial literacy. She currently leads the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University classes at Ginghamsburg church. She lives in New Carlisle with her husband and two children. Beth joined our Board as Treasurer in February 2019.
Nathan Combs, Board Member
Nathan is the Executive Director of Church Operations of Ginghamsburg Church in Tipp City. In his role, he acts as liasion between New Path and Ginghamsburg Church. Nathan lives in Tipp City with his wife Heather and their children.
Margie DeHays, Board Member
Margie joined the New Path Board of Directors in January 2016. She is a small business owner in Tipp City and works as a health care professional.
Megan Gariety, Board Member
Megan is an entrepreneur and has a heart for serving others. She lives in Covington with her family. Megan joined the board in April 2019.
Sonia Holycross, Board Member
Sonia is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer in issues facing families in poverty and currently serves as a caseworker with the non-profit, Partners in Hope. Sonia is also a graduate of the Paul G. Duke Academy of Community Leadership at Edison State Community College. Sonia joined the New Path Board of Directors in January 2020.
Tiffany Thompson, Board Member
Tiffany left a corporate career to fulfill God’s calling on her life to become a nurse. She currently serves as Director of Nursing at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek and takes her calling to nursing and service to others to heart. She has been married to Tom for nearly 30 years. Together, they have three grown children, Romain (Christina) , Madeson (Neal) and Brooks (Brooke), and are doting grandparents to 6 precious grandchildren. Tiffany joined our Board of Directors in 2019.
Susan Westfall, Board Member
Susan is a nurse at the West Central Ohoi Juvenile Detention Center in Troy and along with her husband, Wade, has a passion for historic property preservation and development. Susan is a proud parent and grandparent. Susan and her husband Wade live in downtown Troy.
